Villa Akalli is a holiday villa less than 100 metres from the water on the south coast of Crete. Big booking platforms bring guests, but every one of those bookings costs the owners commission. The villa needed its own home on the web: somewhere to show the place properly, speak to guests in Greek and English, and take booking enquiries directly. Live since February 2026.

Photography-first design
A calm, seaside design that stays out of the way of the photos. The villa and the view sell the stay; the site's job is to present them beautifully and get visitors to the enquiry form.
Bilingual by design
Every page reads natively in English and Greek with one click, and the site remembers each visitor's choice. Guests book in their own language.
Direct booking enquiries
A reservation form captures dates and guest details, protects against bots, and delivers enquiries straight to the owners' inbox. Booking.com stays available as an alternative, but the front door belongs to the villa.
Live Google reviews
Guest reviews sync from the villa's Google profile server-side and are cached for speed. Fresh social proof, no manual updates.
GDPR done properly
European guests mean European rules. Analytics load only after consent, a real reject button works, the privacy policy documents every cookie, and server logs are anonymised before they are written.
Managed hosting & care
BIS-managed infrastructure with automatic HTTPS, hardened security headers, and external uptime monitoring that checks the site every five minutes.

Reliable email delivery
Booking enquiries are money. Delivery runs through a transactional email service with a second provider as fallback, so an enquiry never dies in a spam folder.
